Biography
A key person in the history of Catalan basketball, Enric Piquet was first a player of the sport before becoming the President of the Catalan Basketball Federation. Piquet played for CE Laietà for 15 years from 1945 to 1960 with him later becoming the club’s director. In 1973 he joined the Catalan Basketball Federation where he served as their President from 1984 to 2010. Piquet was awarded with the Olympic Order in Silver in 2001.
