Biography

Journalist and writer Efim Josanu graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at the State University of Moldova. After a lengthy career in sports journalism Josanu became the President of the National Olympic Committee of Moldova from 1991 to 2001. During this time he was honoured with the Order of Gloria Muncii in 1996 and was awarded with the Olympic Order in Silver in 2001.

In 2008 Josanu wrote and published a book detailing the most important events in the history of the Olympics. From 2009 to 2012 he was the deputy director of national television in Moldova. In 2019 Josanu directed the documentary film I, Filimon Boghiu about a peasant during the Russian occupation of the country in 1940.
