Biography

Cambodian politician Norodom Ranariddh was a member of the FUNCINPEC party and was best remembered as serving as the Prime Minister of Cambodia between 1993 and 1997. Ranariddh spent most of his early life in France, first at a boarding school in Marseille, before studying law at the University of Paris. In the early 1970s he returned to Cambodia but was later arrested following a coup in the country. By 1983 he had joined the FUNCINPEC party, eventually becoming the President of the party. In addition to all of his political roles Ranariddh was also the President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia.
