Biography

Raasin McIntosh was born in the United States and grew up in Houston, Texas, but ran at the 2012 Olympics for Liberia. She was US Champion in the 400 metre hurdles in 2003 and ran at the 2004 US Olympic Trials, where she placed fifth. McIntosh ran in college at the University of Texas. At the NCAA Championships, she helped the Longhorns win the 4x400 in 2003 and finish second in 2002. Individually she was second in the 400 hurdles in 2003, third in that event in 2002, and third in the 100 hurdles in 2003.

After college McIntosh founded Raasin in the Sun, a non-profit organization whose mission was to build resilient communities through art and environmental initiatives.
