Biography

Madiea Ghafoor was of Pakistani ancestry and was considered the first female of Baloch ethnicity to compete in the Olympic Games. She also competed at the European Junior Championships and the European Indoor Championships.

In November 2019 Madiea Ghafoor was sentenced to over eight years in prison after she was convicted of drug trafficking and smuggling. At a routine border crossing near Elten, Germany, she was found to have over $3 million (50 kg) worth of drugs in the trunk (boot) of her car.
