Biography

Emil Beeler was a Swiss cyclist who was active during the late 1950s and early 1960s. In 1958 Beeler won the Zurich Lake Tour before becoming the Swiss amateur road race champion the following year. With some consistent results in other amateur races he earned himself a place on the Olympic team. At the Roma Games he finished 32nd in the individual road race in the main peloton of riders who were 20 seconds behind the race winner. Beeler briefly became a professional cyclist but retired from the sport early in 1962.
