Tunisia made its début at the Olympics at the 1960 Games in Roma with the nation sending a delegation of 42 athletes. Ali Ben Ali was one of four cyclists who competed in both the individual road race and the 100 kilometres team time trial. Whilst Ali failed to finish in the former, Tunisia did manage to finish 27th out of the 32 teams that competed in the latter.
