Biography

Slavoj Černý was a Czechoslovak cyclist who specialised in track events. In 1958 Černý became the national champion in the pursuit race before finishing second for the next two years. These consistent performances earned him a place on the Olympic team for the 1960 Roma Games where he came fifth in the 4,000 metres team pursuit. Černý was also a long-time holder of the national record in the same event.
