Biography

Polish-born West German cyclist Alfred Gaida took part in the road race at the 1972 München Summer Games. He finished 57th. The same year he won the West German amateur national title. After the Olympics he turned professional, and competed in the 1973 Tour de France, finishing 81st. In 1974 he won one stage at in the Paris-Nice race.
