Walter Garré was a Uruguayan cyclist who was active in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In 1968 Garré was selected to ride in the team time trial at the Mexico City Olympics, where he placed 24th with his compatriots. Back home he was consistent at the Vuelta a Uruguay, where he finished on the podium on multiple stages, as well as fourth overall at the 1973 edition of the race. He later worked as a sports director and a journalist.
