Biography
A Cuban road racer, Jorge Gómez raced at the 1976 Olympics in the team time trial, helping Cuba to a 14th-place finish. Gómez rode the Peace Race in 1975, placing 97th, and 1977, finishing 67th, and then his next known major finish was in 1986 when he again competed in the Peace Race, this time coming across in 28th place.
