Biography

Christa Williams won two gold medals as a pitcher with the USA women’s softball team at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. Williams played in college at UCLA, but transferred and finished her career at the University of Texas, where she was a three-time All-American. Williams played for three years in the National Pro Fastpitch League with the Texas Thunder. She later settled in her native Houston where she taught high school and coached high school softball.

Williams was inducted into the National Softball Hall of Fame, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, University of Texas Athletics Women’s Hall of Honor, and the Pasadena Independent School District Athletic Hall of Fame.
