Biography

In 1924 Dutch cyclist Cor Heeren finished as the runner-up at the national road race for amateurs, earning himself a place on the Olympic team. At the Paris Games, Heeren was the best-placed Dutch rider, finishing 13th, with the Netherlands placing sixth overall in the combined team event. He continued to race for another decade, with his best result coming in 1935, once again finishing second in the road race at the national championships, but this time as a professional rider.
