Biography

Roby Hentges was an amateur road cyclist from Luxembourg who was active during the early 1960s. In 1960 Hentges was selected to compete in the individual road race at the Roma Olympics, where he finished 14th, only 20 seconds behind the race winner. Back home he won two back-to-back amateur road race titles in 1961 and 1962. In the same years he also rode in two editions of the Tour de l’Avenir in France, with a best result of second on stage seven in 1962.
