Biography

Petros Leonidis was a Greek cyclists who competed either side of World War II. In 1937 Leonidis finished as the runner-up at the national road race championships before winning three consecutive titles from 1938 to 1940. After the war he returned to the sport, winning his fourth road race title in 1947. This earned him a place on the Olympic team and he competed in the road race at the 1948 London Games, but failed to finish the course.
