Biography

Aleksandr Perov was a track racer who specialized in riding the team pursuit as a member of the Soviet Union team. In addition to his 1976 Olympic silver medal in the event, he won a silver medal in team pursuit at the 1975 World Championships, and also placed fourth in 1977. At the Soviet Championships, he won the individual pursuit in 1975 and rode on the winning pursuit team in 1976.
