Robert Pfarr was the oldest member of the 1960 US Olympic cycling team, racing in Roma when he was 40-years-old. Pfarr started racing in 1935 and was on the US Pan American teams in 1951 and 1959, winning a team pursuit gold at the 1959 Pan Ams. He was US road race champion in 1950. In 1945 Pfarr founded the Kenosha Wheelmen Club and was the club president for 40 years. He raced for over 60 years, later turning to masters events.
