Biography

Luxembourg cyclist Pitty Scheer began his career by winning the junior national road championship in 1946, before finishing third in the senior amateur race a year later. From there Scheer began to specialise as a cyclo-cross rider and finished as the runner-up at the national championships in 1950. Although he never won the national title his results were consistent, finishing second again in 1955, along with third on four occasions (1951, 1953, 1954, 1955). Scheer also competed in several editions of the Tour of Luxembourg and the road race at the 1948 London Olympics.
