Biography

Luis Sosa was a Uruguayan cyclist who was active during the 1960s and 1970s. In 1968 Sosa was selected to ride in the team time trial at the Mexico City Olympics, where he finished 24th with his compatriots. Although he never became the national road race champion he did finish as the runner-up in both 1969 and 1971. In 1970 he won the 500 Millas del Norte race, followed by victory in the Rutas de América stage race in 1972. Sosa also rode in several editions of the Vuelta del Uruguay with a best result of second in 1971.
