Biography

In 1956 and 1957 Tunisian cyclist Mohamed Touati finished second at the national road race championships before winning the title in 1958. Touati once again finished second in 1959, before winning a third title in 1960 to earn himself a place on the Olympic team. At the Roma Games he competed in both the individual road race and the 100 kilometres team time trial. He continued to ride for a few more years, ending his career with a third-place finish at the national championships in 1964.
