Hiroshi Yamao was a Japanese cyclist who represented his country at international competitions during the mid-1950s. In 1963 Yamao won two medals at the Asian Cycling Championships, with gold in the team time trial and silver in the team road race. The following year he competed at his home Olympics in Tokyo, finishing 105th in the road race, more than 30 minutes behind the race winner.
