Erika Csar was a team member of the Austrian female national field hockey team at the 1980 Moskva (Moscow) Olympics. The team finished fifth out of six in the round-robin tournament. Domestically she played with Wiener (Vienna) AC.
Csar later became a nursery nurse at the Academy of Visual Art in Wien (Vienna) for a group of small children. In 2010 she accidentally died as the result of a defective heater in her apartment.
