Brigitta Pecanka was a team member of the Austrian female national field hockey team at the 1980 Moskva (Moscow) Olympics. The team finished fifth out of six in the round-robin tournament. Domestically, Pecanka played with Post SV Wien (Vienna). Brigitta came from a field hockey family, as her sister Eleonore, her father Josef and her uncle Robert were all Olympians.
