Biography

René Araou played rugby football at the 1924 Paris Olympics, winning a silver medal with the French team, while playing as a prop forward. He competed for Racing Club de Narbonne from 1922-33, helping them to the finals of the French Championships in 1932 and 1933. He was an industrialist who worked with wind turbines, and later in life, ran his own garage.
