Biography

Gilbert Gérintès played flanker for France in rugby football at the 1924 Paris Olympics, earning a silver medal. He was capped three times for France. Gérintès played for Club Athlétique de la Société Générale (CASG) from 1923-26, and also lived briefly in England, playing there with Moseley FC. He studied at l’École des Gadz’arts de Cluny with Marcel Besson, an alternate in rugby at the 1924 Olympics. Gérintès was a factory supervisor in Paris and also ran his own garage. He was noted to be an “adventurer.”
