Henk Janssen was one of eight representatives of the Achilles Krachtsportvereniging from Arnhem to compete in the 1920 Olympic tug-of-war. Having won the Dutch trials, they went on to claim second place in Antwerpen. This result was in doubt for some time, as the Official Results listed both the Netherlands and the US as winning second place. This confusion was ended in 1968, when Janssen presented his silver medal and associated Olympic diploma.
