Biography

Chuck Rose won a silver medal in the 1904 tug-of-war event. He represented the St. Louis Southwest Turnverein. The St. Louis Southwest Turnverein had two teams in the 1904 tug-of-war, with Rose on team #1. Some earlier sources listed the Rose in this event as the famous shot putter Ralph Rose, but that is incorrect. Chuck Rose, a plumber by profession, was a lifelong resident of St. Louis. He was married with one daughter.
