Biography

Charles Power won a silver medal with the Ireland team at the 1908 London Olympics. He played in both of Ireland’s matches; the 3-1 win over Wales, when he scored one goal, and the 8-1 defeat by England in the final. He played his club hockey with the Dublin side Three Rock Rovers, and was club captain in 1910. Power was also a Three Rock delegate on the Irish Hockey Union. He played inter-provincial hockey for Leinster. By occupation, Power was a brewer at D’Arcy’s Brewery, Dublin.
