Biography

Italian field hockey player Antonio Lenza made his début in the sport in 1956, winning his first national championship the same year. Lenza had a brief career but won further championship titles in 1958, 1960, and 1962. In September 1958 he earned his first international cap with the Italian team, playing in a 1–1 draw against Yugoslavia. Lenza played in 14 matches for Italy including three at the 1960 Roma Olympics, where he scored the winning goal in their 2–1 victory against Japan in the classification round. After his playing career he became a national manager at the Bank of Italy.
