Biography

Supaat Nadarajah was a goalkeeper who played for Malaya at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics hockey tournament. He was said to be the oldest member of the team, although we have not found his date of birth. Nadarajah played for Selangor from 1939-41 and again in 1949-54. He was with North Malaya from 1949-53 and South Malaya later in 1953. Nadarajah toured Hong Kong with the Malayan Indians in 1954. He also played football for the State from 1939-44 and later became a FIFA referee. Nadarajah was educated at the Methodist Boys’ School in Kuala Lumpur.
