Biography

German foil fencer Annette Dobmeier was on the silver medal-winning team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Individually she was eliminated in the final pool round and was classified 34th. In 1989, she won a team gold medal at the World Championships.

In 1993, Dobmeier was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. She later trained as an osteopath and national health professional, and founded her own practice at Frankfurt on Main. From 2012 she worked with the German women’s national soccer team.
