Biography

Polly Craus fenced for the Faulkner Fencing Club of Los Angeles. She won the 1949 Amateur Fencers League of American (AFLA) foil championship, placing second in 1950, and third in 1951-52. She helped Faulkner Fencing Club to win the team title in 1948-51. Craus won the 1949 Pacific Coast Sectional and was second in that event five times. She also competed with the US team at the 1948 World Championships. Craus worked as an administrative assistant to Ralph Faulkner, and also worked in the film industry as a production assistant.
