Biography

In 1972 Swiss archer Jean-Pierre Héritier had the best year of his career with him helping to set a world record, competing at the Olympics, and winning a medal at the European Championships. The year began with Héritier, Jakob Wolfensberger and Manfred Schönberg setting a world record in the team event. The trio then competed at the European Archery Championships in Walferdange, Luxembourg where they won bronze in the recurve team event. This helped secure a place at the München Games for Héritier and Wolfensberger, who both competed in the individual event.
