Biography

Dieter Hecke was an épée fencer competing for the mixed German team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. He was eliminated in the semifinals of the individual épée. Hecke finished third at the 1962 and 1963 West German Championships. He later regularly started in international veterans championships including the Europeans and Worlds. Hecke won the World Championship in men’s epee 60+ at the 2001 Veteran World Championships.
