Biography

William Clark represented the Cincinnati Archers in 1904 and helped them win the silver medal, as well as finishing sixth in the Double American Round individual event. Clark was U.S. champion in 1886, 1887 and 1897 and also won the Ohio State Championship at the Double York Round in 1900, 1903-04 and 1908. He was a veteran of the United States Civil War and, by career, worked as a lawyer and also served as the village clerk for Wyoming, Ohio. He died during a visit to his daughter’s house in Knoxville, Tennessee.
