Biography

Alexandros Vouros was a fencer who competed at the 1896 Athina Olympics. He was a diplomat who worked in numerous Greek embassies, serving in Belgium, Spain, Montenegro, Abyssinia, France, Hungary, Venezuela. and Turkey. He studied law at the University of Athens after which he entered the Foreign Ministry. Vouros was the grandson of Stamatios Dekozi Vouros, and with his nephew, Lambros Euftaxia, he later established the Dekozi-Vourou Foundation.
