Athos Tanzini had a brief fencing career. A student of Beppe Nadi, the father of Aldo and Nedo, Tanzini was part of the Italian sabre team that won a silver medal at the Berlin Olympics. Soon afterwards, Tanzini focussed his efforts on his job as a clothing salesman.
