Biography

After playing in 111 volleyball matches for the Polish national team Władysław Kustra moved to Portugal where he worked as a coach. As a youngster Kustra won bronze as part of Poland’s team at the 1975 European Junior Championships. From 1975 to 1980 he played for the senior team where he won three silver medals at the European Championships (1975, 1977, and 1979). At the 1980 Moskva Olympics Kustra was part of the Polish team but he did not play in any matches.

In 1985 Kustra moved to Portugal and coached SC Espinho until 1990, with the club winning two Portuguese titles. He ended his coaching career with Esmoriz who he coached from 1990 to 1999.
