Biography

Ragnar Grönvall was a career officer who eventually rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel and was made a Knight of the Order of the Sword. He competed in the individual foil event at the 1912 Olympic Games but lost three bouts in round one and was eliminated. His first wife was Gerd Birgit Karlsdotter von Hedenberg, and in 1934, he married his second wife, Irma Augusta Marianne (née Weidenhielm).
