Biography

Wagih El-Kashef was born in the Old Cairo district of Abdeen. He joined El-Mokhtalat SC (since 1952 Al-Zamalek SC) in 1930. Later he was transferred to Al-Ahly and was part of the 1934 Egyptian World Cup squad as a forward, but did not play in their only game. During the 1936 Olympics he played in the midfield. After retiring from active sport, he took up coaching his old club Zamalek.
