Biography

Salvadoran football defender Edgar Morales played domestically for Alianza FC from 1958 before joining Atlético Marte in 1968. Morales won back-to-back first division league titles with Alianza in 1965–66 and 1966–67 along with the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 1967. He won two further league titles with Atlético Marte in 1968–69 and 1970 before his retirement in 1972. Morales also represented the El Salvador national team in the football tournament at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, playing in their 4–0 defeat to the eventual gold medallists Hungary.
