Biography

Ahmed Arab was an Algerian footballer who played for both the French and Algerian national teams. At the end of the 1950s Ahmed played for three seasons with ESA Brive in the highest amateur league in France. From here he was selected to represent the French team at the 1960 Roma Olympics where he played in the matches against Peru and Hungary. Following the Olympics he moved to Limoges FC where he made his professional début and played with the club until 1963.

After leaving Limoges FC Ahmed returned to Algeria to play for CR Belcourt. He represented the Algerian national team in 11 matches from 1963 to 1967 and was part of the first Algerian team to be affiliated with FIFA. After his playing career he became a coach before finally retiring in 1988.
