Biography

Ernst Hollstein, a left defender, was a member of the German soccer team at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. He played from 1908-13 for Karlsruher FV, and won the German national title with them in 1910 beating Holstein Kiel 1-0. In 1912, they lost the final against the same opponent, losing 1-0. Hollstein earned six international caps between 1910 and 1912. In 1913 he retired to become a graduated teacher.
