Biography

Heinrich Weber began his sporting career as a gymnast at SV Marburg 1860. He later started as a center-forward, first with VfB Leipzig and then Kassel Kurhessen. Selected by national coach Otto Nerz to the 1928 Olympic team, he played his first international match in the first round against Switzerland. Before he left the national team in 1931, he earned 12 international caps. A trained optician, Weber later owned several large branch stores. After World War II he also had a short stint as a coach with KSV Hessen Kassel.
