Biography

Emmanuel Oblitey was a Ghanaian footballer who played as a defender for the national team. Oblitey was part of Ghana’s team that toured Europe in 1961. In 1963 Ghana hosted and won the African Cup of Nations tournament with Oblitey playing in all their matches. The following year he played in the football tournament at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics where the team finished in joint-seventh place. In domestic football Oblitey played for both Accra Great Olympics and Real Republicans.
