Biography

Lajos Bohus was also involved in athletics and football during his high school and university years. In football he played seven times for the high school national team, and from 1928 he started playing football for Attila in Miskolc. After the team disbanded in 1936, he moved to DVTK. In the same year he was a member of the Hungarian national football team at the Berlin Olympics. With DVTK, he was promoted to first division in 1940. In 1941 he was invited to the B national team. He continued to play after 1945 and finished his sports career in 1948. He took part in a total of 500 league matches and scored 36 goals, which is not bad from a defender! At the end of his nearly two-decade sports career, he worked as a coach for many years.
