Biography
Footballer Hussain Ahmed played for the Indian team that just missed a medal at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics when they finished fourth. A defender, he played for Hyderabad City Police in the 1950s. He also competed with the national team at the 1958 Asian Games and the 1959 Merdeka Tournament. Ahmed later became a coach at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS).
