Biography

Cristiano Lucarelli is an Italian football manager and former player who was a striker from 1992 until 2012. After playing in the Second League with Perugia Calcio, Cosenza Calcio, and Calcio Padova, he made his top-flight league début in the 1997/98 season with Atalanta Bergamasca, where he played 26 matches, scoring five goals. He then moved to U.S. Lecce, Torino FC, A.S. Livorno, Parma F.C., and ended his career with two seasons with SSC Napoli (2010-12). In total he played 302 games, scoring 120 goals. He also had two experiences abroad, in 1998-99 in Spain with Valencia and in 2007-08 in Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Lucarelli was capped six times for the Italian senior squad between 2005 and 2007, scoring three goals in total. He also played for Italy at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. As a coach, he started in the Fourth League with Perugia Calcio and F.C. Esperia Viareggio, and then moved to the Third League with A.C. Pistoiese, Tuttocuoio, Messina, and Calcio Catania.
