Biography

Mario Trebbi was a defender who played for 12 consecutive years in the Italian First League Serie A (1958-69), nine with AC Milano and the last three with AC Torino. He played 157 matches in Serie A and later played with Monza in Serie B in 124 matches, scoring four goals. He played on two Italian winning teams, with Milano in 1958/59 and 1961/62, helped win the 1963 European Champion Clubs’ Cup, and finally, with AC Torino, won the 1968 Coppa Italia.

Trebbi played only two matches with the Italian National team, both in friendlies at home, against North Ireland in Bologna in April 1961, and against Spain in Torino in December 1963. With youth teams he earned 12 international caps, including playing in all five Olympics matches in 1960. From 1974-87 Trebbbi was a coach for many teams, including US Alessandria, Barletta and Siracusa, mostly in Serie C.
