Biography

Jo U-Hyeon was a South Korean footballer and coach. Jo graduated from Daegu University and made his debut for Yukong in 1992. Jo’s career in the K-League lasted until 2000, with him playing 188 matches for four clubs and scoring 36 goals. At international level, Jo played four matches for South Korea, including two matches at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

After his playing career, Jo became a football coach. From 2002–03 he was the assistant coach at Yeongdeungpo Technical High School, and the assistant coach of Bucheon SK in 2003. In 2004 Jo became the coach of Jinju High School, an under-18 team affiliated with Gyeongnam FC. In July 2021, Jo lead Jinju High School to win the Autumn National High School Soccer Championship.
